Description

purefil PETG Filament – Durable & Easy-to-Print for High-Quality 3D Prints

purefil PETG filament combines transparency, odor neutrality, and high durability, making it a top choice for 3D printing enthusiasts and professionals alike. With excellent impact resistance, flexibility, and near-zero shrinkage, PETG is an ideal material for FDM 3D printing—whether you're crafting prototypes, functional parts, or high-detail models.

Why PETG Stands Out for 3D Printing

PETG is incredibly easy to print and does not present significant challenges during the process. Thanks to its high strength, stiffness, and minimal warping, it offers outstanding print quality without the common issues seen in materials like ABS.

However, pre-drying is essential before printing. Moisture in the filament can cause bubbling and degradation during extrusion. For optimal results, store used PETG spools in a dry, airtight container with silica gel packs. If moisture absorption occurs, dry the filament in an oven at 80°C for 2-4 hours.

Our purefil PETG filament is food-safe and complies with European Regulation No. 10/2011, making it suitable for applications that require contact with food.

Key Features of PETG:

  • Exceptional Strength & Toughness: Maintains high impact resistance, even in cold conditions.
  • Minimal Shrinkage: Reduces warping, making it easy to print large models.
  • High Abrasion Resistance: Ensures long-lasting, durable prints.
  • Wide Temperature Range: Can withstand temperatures from -40°C to +100°C.
  • Excellent Electrical Insulation Properties: Suitable for technical applications.
  • Chemical Resistance: Resistant to water (at room temperature), diluted acids, alcohols, oils, and hydrocarbons.
  • Weather & Heat Resistance: Ideal for indoor and outdoor use.

Applications of PETG Filament

  • Functional Prototypes & Engineering Parts
  • Mechanical Components & Enclosures
  • Transparent Prints & Visual Prototypes
  • Food-Safe Containers & Kitchen Accessories
  • Medical & Laboratory Equipment

Conclusion

purefil filaments are Made in Switzerland, ensuring high-quality production standards with consistent diameter tolerance and superior material properties. Whether you're a hobbyist or a professional, purefil PETG offers an excellent balance of strength, ease of use, and high-end print results.
