Description

bioTEC Filament by purefil – High-Performance & Eco-Friendly 3D Printing Material

The bioTEC filament is an advanced, high-performance 3D printing material designed for demanding applications. After heat treatment at 80°C for 2 hours, it achieves a heat resistance of up to 110°C, making it suitable for prints exposed to higher temperatures. This post-processing step also enhances the hardness of the filament, ensuring superior mechanical properties. Despite these excellent thermal and mechanical characteristics, bioTEC remains easy to print, requiring no heated bed and emitting minimal odors during the printing process.

100% Sustainable & Certified Biodegradable

bioTEC filament is made entirely from renewable raw materials, such as sugar beet and sugarcane, making it an eco-friendly alternative to traditional 3D printing plastics. It is classified as a 100% biofilament, certified under ISO EN 16785-1 (Certificate No. DIC-00001). Additionally, bioTEC polymers comply with the EN-13432 standard for compostability.

The filament’s raw material has also received compostability certifications from Vinçotte (OK Compost S478) and European Bioplastics (7W2030) for thicknesses up to 1.0 mm. Furthermore, bioTEC meets the European Regulation No. 10/2011 on plastic materials for food contact, making it a safe option for food-related applications.

Key Features of bioTEC Filament
